South Africa is yet to win a bronze in this year's Olympics. Maybe load shedding affected the preparations, or maybe Butana Komphela’s black target was not achieved or maybe there was too much political interference.
If Michel Phelps qualifying time was 2 minutes, why do you send someone whose qualifying time was 3 minutes? I mean that is just a waste of time and money. So far, Phelps have won more medals than the whole of Africa.
South Africa believes more in colour than talent.
With 2 million-inflation rate and more regular power cuts, Zimbabwe has already won a silver.
Thank God our country is rich with minerals like gold and diamond, otherwise we were just gonna see bronze on TV.
We are know for all the wrong reasons, like having the highest HIV rate in the world, and having some of the finest criminals this world has ever seen, in terms of both skills and quantity. Maybe its about time we deviate our expertise from bad to good.
Anyway, let us not give up; it took us more than 50 years to achieve democracy. Maybe we need they same amount of time to be more competitive.
Go for Gold Team South Africa.
Cheers

Wow, that was a bit harsh and skeptical, lol!!I've watched a bit of the Olympics and competition is tough this year.
What we need to keep in mind is that, at least we had athletes who qualified to go to Beijing.
Winning is great, but its not everything. The experience is just as fulfilling as winning. It's all about your prospective.
